Bike Friday ride this Saturday, November 26th   Message List

Bike Friday Riders, (BAGGCYCLIST) and WORST Bikers
To avoid the Holiday shopper traffic on the roads, I plan to have
this
Saturday's bike ride on a paved bike path to the West of the Boston
area.
Please join in an after Thanksgiving Burn the Calorie
off Bike Ride
Place: Nashua River Bike Trail
11 miles (22 Round trip)
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 2005
Time: Meet at 10:00 a.m.
This will be a social, mellow ride. If you choose to burn off
more calories
than the leader, you may do so by doing the route twice or more.
One can not get lost on this bike path once you get out of the
parking lot.
Bring friends, neighbors and others who want to enjoy some of the
last of the snow free bike days. Still will be 28 more shopping days
to
Christmas.
Addendum: Weather predictions are for a small amount of snow on
Thursday, so come out and enjoy either one of the last of the snow
free days or one of the first of the snow adventures. In the slim
event of
over six inches, might have to reconsider as bike paths are not
readily
shoveled. However, on the positive note, any amount of snow will
probably have melted by Saturday.

Directions:
Meeting at Ayer trailhead.
There is a commuter train--Fitchburg line; but not sure of the
bike status at this time. Folders in carry on bag should be
acceptable.

Driving Directions:
a) Route 2 to exit 38-B
b) Follow Route 111 north to the Ayer Rotary
c) go halfway around rotary to route 2A
c) On Route 2A turn RIGHT after Ayer Center
e) take first RIGHT onto Groton Street
f) follow Groton Street to the trail parking lot on the right.
