This Saturday, September 29Th, plan on an all day adventure, an
afternoon adventure,
or an evening adventure. Note the repetitive word adventure:
See below as we join with another bike group (WORST) in this
adventure.
Totally up to you on creativity; but the WORST group has been known
to have some unique costumes for this ride. I know as I am usually
one of the adventurous ones.
There are many creative ways to put a unique display on the helmet.
Come check it out.
Pass this note onto friends. Bike Fridays are not necessary. Love
to see
the other types of bikes as do enjoy wheezing past from time to time.
However, this is not a race, but a good time and Adventure.
Please do note that the Water Fire display does not start until
after dark and does not finish
until at least 10:00 ish. We do gain one hour of time at 2:00 am.
Should be home by then.
Hope to see you there at the meeting spot on Saturday.
See below for details.

We're starting a new tradition !!!
---------------------------------------------
Usually the last Friday in Oct. is our first planned night ride.
(and usually involves costumes for some)
This year, if you are looking for some "Theatrics" you'll have a
number of opportunities !
Rather than on Friday the 28th; we are having a joint W.O.R.S.T./
Night/Bike Friday event.
Some of us are heading down to Providence RI on Sat. Oct 29th for
a mellow bike ride on the East Bay Bike Path starting at 2 pm; then
we'll go over to Providence for some food; then enjoy that evenings
"Fire & Water" long into the night. If you are "into" costumes,
come to either or both in some "get up" !
And if you still haven't had your fill, (although Bill will be out
of town the following Friday) Anna has agreed to lead a mellow night
ride on Friday Nov. 4th out in Bedford starting at 8 pm and costumes
will be welcomed then too. Of course your "everyday costume" would
be just fine too !
AMTRAK runs between Boston and Providence if you are adventuresome
but check their schedule and any bike rules first.
Directions to our 2 pm meeting spot are below; email if you want to
know our "Fire & Water" meeting spot and time; and Anna will send
out directions for the Nov. 4th ride meeting spot.
For the bike rides, helmets are a requirement !
Directions:
a) Take Route I-95 South to Providence;
b) turn off at Exit #20 onto I-195 East / US 6 East;
c) turn off I-195 at Exit #4, US 44 / Taunton Avenue
toward Riverside;
d) merge onto Veterans Memorial Parkway;
e) at the top of the hill, pull into the parking area
on the right.
f) we'll be there at 2 pm; and head south on the bike
path by 2:30 pm (some probably in costume); are you
going to join us ??
.
