Bike Friday Ride for East Providence, R.I./ 09/26/04   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #18 of 52 |

Torrential down pours on Saturday, 9/18/04 were followed by
a brisk, bright sunny day for the Bike Friday ride in Arlington.
After the ride, several enjoyed Lynette's presentation at
Wild Women Outfitter's.

This month's regular scheduled ride will be the East Bay Bike Path
in East Providence, R.I.
The seven day weather forecast indicates a few clouds, but no rain
and great temperatures. This is a paved bike path that goes along
the coast and through East Providence, Providence, Barrington,
Warren and Bristol. More information and photos of this bike path
can be found on www.eastbaybikepath.com

The ride is family friendly and you don't need to be riding a Bike
Friday.

You do have the opportunity to chat with Bike Friday owners and to
explore the uniqueness of the Bike Friday with wheels that fly.
In Bristol there is the Topside Lounge and Restaurant. Some of us
willhave lunch here on the deck with our bikes in full view. Others
may choose to just relax and enjoy the scenery. There is a variety
of sandwiches, and seafood for about $10 to $12.
The ride will be done by dark; no lights will be needed.

When: Sunday, September 26th.
Time: Meet 2:00 pm.
Where: East Bay Bike Path, East Providence, R.I.
Directions:
a) I-95 to I-195 in Providence.
b) I-195 to Exit 4
c) Follow Veterans Memorial Parkway south (up hill) about
1/2 mile
d) Turn right into free parking lot

Amtrak and Bonanza Bus Lines run daily into Providence; meeting
location is
about 2 miles southeast of the train station.
E-mail or call me if more information is needed.
Home Phone: 978-664-0474
Cell: 617-909-0611 on the day of the ride once I am enroute.
Hope to see you on the trail on the fifth day of fall: September
26th.
