I'm interested in getting a Family Tandem but I'm having trouble
visualizing the intricacies of tandem design -- especially folding
tandem design. Do any of you have (a) a family tandem or (b) any Bike
Friday tandem that I could actually see, touch, and fold?
Thanks,
Nancy

Actually, we have the Tandem Traveler, I believe it is called. It takes apart for travel, but doesn't fold. Anita Freijof and Mark Takeuchi have the folding one.
We really like ours, but Jimmy Hudson had problems with his Friday tandem. Probably brought about by it being used by two men (Jimmy at maybe 200 lbs, me at 165; sometimes with David Miller at maybe 240?).

I was going to call you and/or Susie tomorrow to see if I could look at your tandem. The one I'm thinking about is the Family Tandem Traveler -- I just assumed it folded, but the specs don't say. Could I come by one afternoon this week to look at yours?
