Hi & AirFriday questions   Message List

Hi, been lurking as a member of this yahoo group for a bit and thought
I'd finally get around to posting.

I've been riding my AirFriday more in recent weeks. (Upcoming trip to
Italy in Sept.) It's one of several bikes in the stable. I've got a
couple questions this group could perhaps help with:

Ok, first, has anyone put different and lighter wheels on their
Friday? There didn't appear to be any on the Friday web site and some
searching didn't turn up much. I'm looking to lighten my load a little
and looking for suggestions.

I've always wanted to get rid of the useless stump of seat post that
sticks down below the suspended Ti bar of the AirFriday. Anyone know
of someone that does metal work that could cut off & polish the end of
a seat post?

Cheers,
-Chas Erickson

PS you can always swap or sell the seatpost with someone who wants a longer one. Visit Alvin's garage or use Craigslist.org in Austin....

Hi Chas, Cutting off the excess seatpost with a pipe cutter shouldn't be a problem. You'll probably want to leave an inch or so extended past the seatpost...
