Hi Lynette, thanks for the wheel notes. I think I currently have sun
451 rims. Any links to info on these wheels you mentioned? Oh, and
weight is 155 so gonna guess most wheels would be ok.
I'm a bit confused by the remainder of your posting. The part of the
AirFriday I'm considering snipping has nothing to do with the frame.
It's just the bottom of the seat post. See picture here:

Note how that picture doesn't have any seat post sticking out beneath
the Ti beam? In my case, the seat post sticks out well below the beam
another 4 or 5 inches or something like that.
I do in fact have a 2nd water cage and a front derailleur on the
little part of the frame that sticks up above the bottom bracket. The
useless extra seat post is actually long enough that it almost hits
the top of the water bottle in the 2nd cage as the Ti beam flexes.
