Dear Tabletenniser’s,

 

   As the year comes to a close I am thankful and appreciative of the the clubs enthusiastic members and their enjoyment and the success of the BTTC over the past few years.

I especially appreciate the dedicated members, and you know who you are; who come most weeks and volunteer to help set-up and close the club. Special thanks are in order for those who donate their time behind the scenes to facilitate a smooth operation of the club. This club has its basis in VOLUNTEERISM and it thrives.

      Going forward Terence Chan has volunteered to fill my post as President. I hope people continue to support and assist him. I will offer my advice and hope the transition will be smooth. Jim Lindsay, Anthony Szumilo and Dave Sterner will be running the weekly tournaments and I hope people also offer extra assistance and co-operation. These people are VOLUNTEERS and deserve special consideration and thanks for their time.

                 In a holiday swarm of tough players there were 55 players attending our round robin…In a cold gym, that was mentioned to management btw, Parry Husbands caught on fire, gobbling a fairly tough Division One.  5-0. Sergey Tvsor earned bragging rights over heads-up tiebreaker win over Kevin Yuen, both with 4-1match score and 14 game totals.

We do not guarantee spots in our Round Robin tournament to latecomers who only left undecipherable messages or people who misuse this line and do not show up to play. At the end of the night, People MUST put away their table…it only take 3-4 minutes and it makes it easy to close up at the end of the night.
