announce that BTTC will resume our normal round robin tourneys beginning
Friday, JANUARY 18.
The new gym floor will be completed I’m told….
In the interim the BTTC has agreed to a new contract with the city of
I appreciate very much all the letters of support I had with
me going into the meeting……The city of Berkeley has a new policy
regarding activities at James Kinney Recreation Center and will be charging us
slightly more than before…..Our new contract begins on Feb 1 so
unfortunately I will need to raise our fees slightly…..$1 so
the new fees will be $5 for adults and $3 for people 16 or under. I hope
everyone can understand and still continue to support and compete at our club. Another
big news story is that we have negotiated for a second
night…Saturday from 7-10…but please don’t show up yet as
there are still City of Berkeley “staffing issues “ and we do not have a firm start date! When we get
this going we plan to have an open play night ($3 for all players) mixed

Please leave a quick clear understandable message! There are often
20 messages and it takes a long time receiving them especially when we hear
your entire life story why and how you’re late….JUST STICK TO THE

make sure to pronounce your first AND last name clearly. For
non-native English speakers it is recommended to repeat their full name at
least twice. We do not guarantee spots in our Round Robin tournament to
latecomers who only left undecipherable messages or people who misuse this line
and do not show up to play.
