Dear Tabletenniser’s,

  On a lucky and smooth running Friday the 13^{th we had ,}     68 players in attendance. I personally was swamped on the desk getting people to sign our new Liability Waivers, Taking calls from volunteer Anil Dhupelia, who assisted me by phone to ascertain the late line calls even in his absence….and doing the sign-up and draw as usual. I did have some assistance towards the end from two wonderful volunteers (Grace Lin and Jim Lindsay) but I really need  a more regular assistant to help run the tourney. I would like to have time to warm-up and focus on my games…needless to say I did not play tonight.

    On his triumphant return to the Bay area  Mattias Eriksson won division One this week….He plans to come back the next couple of weeks so come on down  give him some competition. Peter Chung wins division Two on tie break over Ron Ho …Congrats!

I expect much larger groups in the weeks ahead so please remember I cannot continue to be lenient in letting people sign up late (past the 6:50 deadline) or allow people to play who leave late messages that are undecipherable. Please spread the word, IF YOU ARE LATE OR WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND YOUR LATE MESSAGE >> YOU WILL NOT PLAY THAT NIGHT!  I will close the entries if we have 97 people, so please arrive early!!!

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO ARRIVE EARLY! REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 6:50 SHARP! If you are planning to be late then call the Cell Phone Reservation Number:  (510) 587-3388 before 6:35 PM. If you call this latecomer's number, please make sure to pronounce your first AND last name clearly. For non-native English speakers it is recommended to repeat their full name at least twice. We do not guarantee spots in our Round Robin tournament to latecomers who only left undecipherable messages or people who misuse this line and do not show up to play.
