Dear Pingpongers,

The January 13 Round Robin Results have now been posted on the club website (www.berkeleytabletennis.org ). For the second week in a row we had a record turnout, this time with 60 players!

New with this week's results is that I have chosen to publish also the rating change for every individual match in order to make the rating changes more transparent. One drawback is that you might have to zoom to be able to see anything at all now on the result sheet, since the text has become pretty small. Feel free to leave comments in the guestbook on our website on how you prefer to have the results published. That guestbook is meant as a forum to ask question or comment about anything concerning the BTTC. Don't be afraid of using it. And, please let me know as soon as possible if you find any errors in the results.

Top scorers (in terms of rating change) this week were:

Coleman Lukas + 118

David Taylor (whose pre-rating was adjusted upwards) + 110

Aaron Castillo + 96

Neel Neelakantan + 90

David Kant + 86

Parry Husbands +86

Mike DeWynter, who won all his matches on table 1, should also be mentioned. He is not among the top scorers only due to the rating restrictions that apply once you have a rating above 2000.

WELL DONE all of you!

Finally, an important reminder: PLEASE either SIGN UP BEFORE 7:00 (not 7:05 or 7:10) or CALL the latecomer number (which can be found on the website or on our "business cards") before 6:45 if you know that you will be late. Yesterday, I was kind and let a bunch of latecomers participate. However, there is no guarantee that such kindness will be repeated in the future. The reason for this rule is very simple. We want to be able to do the draw (group assignments) as soon as possible after 7 in order to get the tournament started in time. After the draw is done, it is usually very difficult to accommodate other players.

Best,

Mattias
