chain problems

I also built the same, I used a chain tube, and had to fiddle with derailler
adjustments, but have it working well now. Feel free to email me off list if you
want further advice. I`m now building a swb for me, just finished a Delta trike
for my wife. Doug

Hello, There are some questions to answer in order to pinpoint the problem. When you say " it jumps the high gears" do you mean the gears slip when you pedal...

One word: "chainline" A chain cannot move off of a gear unless a sideways force is acting upon it. The deraileur usually does that job and also keeps the chain...

... forward a little ,the more presure the more it jumps< So it is not changing gears but just skipping teeth. Main causes for this are likely a worn sprocket...
