I built a LWB copy of an easy tour and my chain jumps the high gears any sujestions would be helpful i've shortened and lenghtened the chain same problem...

Hello, There are some questions to answer in order to pinpoint the problem. When you say " it jumps the high gears" do you mean the gears slip when you pedal...

I also built the same, I used a chain tube, and had to fiddle with derailler adjustments, but have it working well now. Feel free to email me off list if you...

One word: "chainline" A chain cannot move off of a gear unless a sideways force is acting upon it. The deraileur usually does that job and also keeps the chain...

... forward a little ,the more presure the more it jumps< So it is not changing gears but just skipping teeth. Main causes for this are likely a worn sprocket...
