hello Mark,
I find my Bentech SWB handles hills fine but my hills are probably not
as steep only up round 7-8 %. I have it geared down really low. You'll
need that anyway if you pull a trailer. Don't expect to be fast. In
general bents climb slower anyway.
I have a LWB toureasy clone I built and I find it better with the
trailer than the SWB. You might consider the LWB version of the Tech.
As another poster mentioned a trike may be the go. We have Logo
Trikes. With the low of about 12 gear inches and 72 gears they can
handle anything but they are quite slow compared with the two wheels.
We much prfer them when we go touring though.
