Idea: Jig kits?   Message List

Re:Idea: Jig kits?

I made the jigs as per Dom's plans and didn't think it was all that much
trouble. It is certainly worth it to get a nicely squared up bike.

My problem was the wood catching fire when brazing. I was able to
alleviate this to some extent by using pieces of thin plate as a heat
shield.

I have now built a universal jig from steel following some plans I saw
on the net.

I still use the wood jigs for holding the frames for drilling.

I don't know if selling jigs would be viable. Cost of freight etc could
quickly add to cost.
