Oh-oh, looks like I've been spotted! :D I have an AC/DC arc welder at
my disposal, and have welded on plate steel and some sheet metal
(mostly tacks and blown holes, woops), but never tubing. After a bit
of practice on scrap, I'm fully intending to have a 'bent built before
the end of the winter.
First thing to get started is to make some space. I have four
motorcycles, two wedge bicycles, a diesel drivetrain from an IH Scout
II, and a wood cookstove, all in my 1.5 car garage. I have a path from
the door to the bench, that's all! The plan this winter is to work on
bikes (motorized and not); when I come out the other side I hope to
have at least two motorcycles and my old Cannondale frame ready to
sell. If it works well and I can lay my hands on decent steel for not
too much, I may make more frames to sell on the side!
Thanks for the welcome,
Nick
