I have a 26" rear wheel with a 22mm width rim (7/8"). Its a Velocity
(can't remember model, it's the offset spoke one) I run 1.5" tyres on
this and it rols really well.
My average speeds for my commute are around the 30km/hr one way and
22km/hr the other. I have a long 3km climb back up to my house which
is a pain after work in the afternoon. So terrain does make a real
difference to average speed.
Still haven't finished my Bentech properly, still to paint it and a
few other little things, but I'm getting there.
