I think it is personal preferance on USS or OSS. Most bikes have
OSS I built mine with USS and have noticed a couple of short
comings. 1. my wife thinks it's unsafe, nothing to protect you i.e.
handle bar 2. moving the bike around when you're not riding is more
difficult that OSS. You're always bending over to steer it around
the garage or parking lot. Overall I still like it, just drop your
arms and there is the handle bar.
If any of you builders are going for the USS I can tell you more
about my problems.
