A while back, I put out a trial balloon to see if anyone was interested in a
commando-style 40K+ night run. The weather and the moon are now in synch.
This Friday 25 July is looking good. Time to stop talking and to start
running!

This will be a tough run and there are some elements of risk, so it's by

I am looking for a few select individuals for a top secret mission. The
mission involves elements of adventure, danger, stealth and endurance.

Code named Forbidden Forest Run, the objective is complete a particular
point-to-point trail in the lower mainland of BC on foot, in the dark, and
make it back to the Avalon Pub in North Van before last call. To my
knowledge, only one person has ever attempted this course... and he was
turned back on both attempts. This is an opportunity to make history!

The total distance is unknown. My guestimate is that it is between 30k and
40k. The surface is thought to be dirt and gravel and the topology
undulating.

It would be best to attempt this route on a clear evening and navigate by
the stars and moonlight *without* artificial light. If you are interested
in participating in the mission (either this Saturday or at another time),
please contact me off-line at the coords below as soon as possible.

PS We're also looking for someone who knows how to use a FRS radio to drive
the sag wagon from the trailhead back to the pub if we succeed, and to
notify our next of kin if we do not.
