Vancouver Skyline XTC - Sat 14 June - Any aspiring writers or photo   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #769 of 1537 |

The first 'official' Vancouver Skyline XTC (X-country Trail Challenge) is
coming up on Saturday 14 June. There are distances up to 50K. (Actually,
you can run farther than 50K if you really want to!) A good part of this
trail run is held on the Trans-Canada Trail. Details at:
http://clubfatass.com/VanBC_XTC/

CBC television is doing a thing on the Trans Canada Trail. They want to
include the event in their TV program and have asked for some photos and
comments and stuff. (Details follow in this note.)

If you plan to run and want to share your comments about the event, or if
you don't plan to run but want bragging rights as a CBC photographer, please
contact me offline to coordinate.

Happy trails,

EJ

Hello EJ,

The "XTC" would be a great fit for the show. Any photos or stories that
your event's participants have to offer would be appreciated.

As for timeline, since the event isn't for almost two weeks, the faster we
get the info the better. Pix should be shot or scanned at 72 dpi. Higher
resolution is also acceptable, if necessary, but it'll take longer for the
pix to render on webpages. There's even a chance we might use some shots in
the opening montage of our television broadcast, in which case 72 dpi is the
preferred resolution.

Thanks again. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
