Elk/Beaver how I saw it.
Cool at the start, have to slip on tights & mitts.
6.10am/ what's this!!! clouds of midges,
suckers aren't supposed to be out till the 2nd loop.
6.12am/ Carlos catches me, he going out fast, must be on an 8.10 100Kmfinish.
he's been doing 100 mile weeks.
6.15am/ Ean & Andy join us.
6.30am/ 146 on Ean's heart monitor
we run together for the 1st 10Km 45:27, feels faster.
I put on sunglasses, anti midge device
7.10am/ sun appears briefly
8am/ 25Km, darn! a sub 4 is out.
8.10am/ few drops of rain, nothing major
5th loop I disintegrate.
9.41am/ skies open up pretty good but doesn't last.
temperature still cool.
