Greetings fellow ultrarunners!

The 2008 BC Ultra Trailrunning Series has wrapped up with the final event on the
beautiful - but challenging - trails of Kamloops at the Walk In The Park. It was
a fantastic day there with optimal conditions for taking in the single-track and
hills in Kenna-Cartwright Park.

Congratulations to the top three in each age group, who receive fantastic prizes
from our Series sponsors: Nathan packs, CarbBoom gel and EDGE energy drink.

A special mention goes to two ladies:
Gail Forshaw and Ellie Greenwood both placed first in their respective
categories in ALL the races they ran - a clean sweep for each of them!

Gail should also be noted for having completed her 110th ultramarathon at the
WITP event. Gail is one of the pioneers of ultrarunning in BC, and has set many
course and age group records over her phenomenal career. It is motivating to see
her run and continue to set the bar with her amazing performances. Gail, with
her husband George, has also directed and organised many events, including the
first five years of the Diez Vista event, one of the Series races. Thanks for
inspiring us, Gail, and for all your contributions to the sport.

Many thanks go to Nathan, CarbBoom and EDGE who have provided aid station
supplies and draw prizes at all the events in addition to the overall Series
prizing. The Series would not be possible without the input from these
supportive companies, so please look for them in the stores!

Finally, thanks very much to all the race directors, race committee members, and
volunteer staff who made the Series races possible. It takes a ton of work to
make these events happen, and we are grateful for all your efforts.

See you in 2009 - the Dirty Duo comes up quickly in February, so start your
training plan soon :-)
