TASC members and Friends,
Raffle tickets for the BBCC 2008 are available to sell/purchase. There will be 6
Springfield
firearms (XD's and 1911's) for the raffle.
2 XDs - 9mm
2 XDs - 40cal
2 1911s - 45cal
Contact James Saburomaru or Joe Cervantes to obtain your tickets for selling. We
could
really use everyone's help in selling tickets, especially TASC members. We have
a total of
1500. Our goal is to sell out this year. We can't do that without help. Thanks
in advance!
Other details include:
1) Winners _do_ _not_ need to be present to win
2) This is for charity - Toys for Tots. I know that has helped Ira and me sell a
lot of tickets
in the past.
3) Tickets are $5 and there is no limit on how many you can buy
4) See website for more details: www.tasc-ipsc.org/charity.html
Let me know if you have any questions.

Lorrie just told me that there is a camera/bag which was put in the
shed at the end of the day. She thinks it was a grey-blue bag.

Hey folks,
I received a call from Crescencio, indicating that he left his Canon
camera and grey bag on a barrel Saturday. Anyone know what happened to
it?
Thanks - Andy

It is this one, thanks for finding that. That is on their calendar
and it is 2 days.
Anyone else interested?

Sorry to hear you can't make this one. These are very hard to
schedule because they need a min number of people to attend. Not many
clubs have enough for an entire class. I really encourage people to
take this if they can.
You know Davis is not _THAT_ far... ;-) We had to go to San Luis
Obispo to take ours, and that was after our Reno class got canceled...
Ask me about that trip sometime...

I think it mentions on the entry form,
$50 for working RO's vs $100 for others by June 6.
(yes, I'm RO'ing ;-)

There's
http://www.yolosportsmen.org/ and
http://daviswiki.org/Yolo_Sportsmen's_Association
I'm interested in taking the Level 1 RO seminar, but would need it
closer to the Bay Area.

I have been asking if there was interest among the TASC membership to
attend an RO class.
There is a USPSA Level 1 RO seminar at Yolo on 7/26/2008. It is
typically 2 days in length.
Does anyone have a website for them?
Thanks,
Ira
Carl/Ira: Carl, you remember me. I used to RO all kinds of stuff. Been on a personal hiatus but am ready to get back to it! I'm going to IRC this week but would be available for any other dates (I don't know date for GBC). Fill me in. I'd be glad to help. Hope to see some of y'all soon. Rain

FYI, if any of you are certified RO's and would like to help out. You get some sort of discount for the match if you work. I don't know the details of the discount.
Please put the word out we are still desperately in need of RO's for GBC. Remind everyone this is their Section Match and with out help there may not be enough people to run the match. Please have them contact Niels, Vince or myself for details.

Hey - I don't have Pete's email address and he's the MD for the match
on the 14th.
Pete - I had volunteered to set up a stage on the 14th, but turns out
I have a graduation to attend that day, so I won't be able to do it.
I'll be in NY for the match on the 28th, so I'll have to push out my
stage until July. Sorry about that.
For everyone else: The USPSA Nationals waiting list opened up last
night. Visit the uspsa.org web site to get on the list, if you're
interested.

Hey - just got back from Italy yesterday where I saw some poor soul
marry my sister-in-law.
I can set up the afternoon classifier stage again.
I also have a nice stage idea I'd like to submit for the charity match.

Just a quick post to thank Len and Merwin for the fun morning stages
we had last match. I liked the symmetry of Len's stage (nice of him to
make it "right-hand" friendly). Merwin's circle (circle of evil, if
you ask me) was a nice simple but challenging design that allowed the
shooters many options.
I couldn't stay for the afternoon, but really enjoyed the morning
stages. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
See you on the 22nd.
Andy
I know it might seem a little early but start thinking of ideas for stages.
Last year we had 6 really good stages with a good mixture of shooting.
Although many shooters show up just for a good cause, even more show up for a
good match. And a good match means good stages...
Thanks again to last years designers.
Why delay, submit a stage to me today!
;-)
Thanks,
Ira Weiny
BBCC stage coordinator
I'm pretty sure that Mark V. stepped up to MD on the 24th.

Don't forget there is a TASC match tomorrow. Phil Leonard will be the MD and I
know the stage designers have some challenges awaiting!
Be safe, and have fun!

Hi,
I just realized that I'm supposed to MD the TASC match Nov 24th, but
I'm out of town that weekend, so I'm wondering if there is anyone here
that is going that could take my place?
I'd be more than happy to take your match instead and/or help with
stages etc, but I'm out of town and can't be there in person on the
24th.
Thanks
/henrik
I figure this affects our ability to purchase and reload ammunition enough that
it is ok to get the word out.
Thanks,
Ira

anyone. This takes 20 seconds.
CALL Gov's Sac number (916-445-2841)
Press 1 - for English

Press 2 to OPPOSE the gun control bill.
That's it! I repeat, you do not need to speak to anyone.
Sept 22nd we are gonig to have a special Fun match with a BBQ and some "fun"

I don't know all the details just yet but we wanted to get the word out.
Thanks,

Hey all,
I only have 2 stages for this weekends match, one field course and the
classifier. I would like to do 3 more field courses.
If you have never put a stage together but have some ideas let me know. We are
always looking for new ideas.
Thanks,
Ira
