I personally got this one.

http://shootersconnection.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=444

I chose it over the PACT for 2 reasons.

1) it was cheaper
2) it will, when set to its most sensitive setting, pick up an airsoft shot.

The ones you mention I think would be fine for live fire but I kind of think
you might like the features of either the CED or PACT.

The things which are nice about the PACT are:

1) you can get a printer for it... So you can get a record of your shots to
take home. If you are like Lorrie and I you can watch video from practice
and see how things work and see them faster or slower.
2) You can use it, with some add on's, as a chrono.

As I did not need #2 this was also a reason to go with the CED.

Another suggestion is to check out be.com and read the threads about them.
That is where I got much of my info and I think it worked well for me.

My final suggestion would be to try mine some time. Are you going to Richmond
practice now?

Good luck,
Ira

Hey Ira, Thanks for the information. The CED 8000 looks like a nice unit. I plan to get over to Reed's some afternoons and *maybe* Richmond once and awhile. ...
