I chose it over the PACT for 2 reasons.
1) it was cheaper
2) it will, when set to its most sensitive setting, pick up an airsoft shot.
The ones you mention I think would be fine for live fire but I kind of think
you might like the features of either the CED or PACT.
The things which are nice about the PACT are:
1) you can get a printer for it... So you can get a record of your shots to
take home. If you are like Lorrie and I you can watch video from practice
and see how things work and see them faster or slower.
2) You can use it, with some add on's, as a chrono.
As I did not need #2 this was also a reason to go with the CED.
Another suggestion is to check out be.com and read the threads about them.
That is where I got much of my info and I think it worked well for me.
My final suggestion would be to try mine some time. Are you going to Richmond
practice now?
