Make several and make whatever cuts you plan on making soon before the
weather gets any better; you want the least amount of sap and cold is
the time that
that happens. Cut it too long for the curing period, use saplings if you
can,
cover it with wax or another substance to allow it to dry slower. Wood
shrinks
when the water evaporates from it, you need to make it slow so it
dosen't
crack from drying, (and shrinking), to quickly. There should be a better
