I thought Dr Dish was battery operated.  At any rate call them and you may get better results.  I called last year for more information and now they won't leave me alone.  Next time they call, I'll send them in your direction.

If you have stuff that doesn't work on 220, get a transformer.  When I lived in The Netherlands we used transformers for our microwave, TV,  and vaccum cleaners.  If you live near a U.S. military installation, you'll be able to find tons of them.
