So true. We have a 12 hour rule. Celebrate a victory or walk around
with your head hanging after a loss for 12 hours only. After that, it's
back to work on the things we did well (maybe we can do them just a
little better) and improve on the things we didn't do well. Most times we
use the time in the team room after a game to pass out Gatorade or
whatever, to remind them about the practice schedule and to be careful
driving home or at any parties they may attend. I found most times they
aren't really listening any way.

I agree coach. I always take just about 1 minute
whether we win or lose. I usually wait till the next
day to talk about anything negative, especially in a
loss. If they win all I do is congragulate them and
let them celebrate. The great Morgan Wooten said in
one of his books that they are either too dejected
after a loss or too pumped after a win. I always let
my kids enjoy their win, no matter whether it is
pretty or ugly.
