Congratulations to Tom Swift and Dan Levitt for awards and honors they've
received for their biographies about Chief Bender and Ed Barrow.

Chief Bender's Burden is receiving the 2009 Seymour Medal at the Seymour
Conference in Cleveland later this month. Ed Barrow: The Bulldog Who Built the
Yankees' First Dynasty, by Dan Leviit, was one of three finalists (along with
Chief Bender's Burden and a biography of Hammerin' Hank Chadwick) for the award.

Also, Chief Bender's Burden was one of four finalists for the Larry Ritter Award
from SABR's Deadball Era Committee.

Way to go, guys. We are all honored to be among such company.
