That means you've got four weeks to read (or re-read) Bill James's The Politics of Glory: How Baseball's Hall of Fame Really Works, the club's selection for April. Do Rabbit Maranville and Bill Mazeroski belong in Cooperstown? How about Ron Santo and Bert Blyleven? And, for that matter, does Cooperstown belong in Cooperstown?
Read the book or don't read the book, but come equipped with your arguments. Where: the cafe at the Har-Mar Barnes and Noble in Roseville; when: Saturday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m.Â
Har-Mar is located on Snelling Ave. about a mile and a half north of the state fairgrounds and just south of Highway 36.Â
The Politics of Glory was also published under the title Whatever Happened to the Hall of Fame. It's the same book.
