Ah yes, it is embarasing (even embarrassing) to be caught with typos in
a message about typos. But I feel less chagrined about typos in an e-
list post than in an actual book. Maybe I can use that as my excuse: I
depleted all my proofreading skills on the Minnesotans in Baseball
book, esp. with one bio in particular that required repeated (like five
times each) of "Binghampton" to "Binghamton" and Jimmy "Bryne" to
Jimmy "Byrne." :)

Stu (I mean Stew)

P. S. For those wondering about the status of the Minnesotans in
Baseball book, the index came in yesterday, and that was the last thing
we were waiting for. I've had to make some changes in it and am going
to give it a little closer look, then get it to the typesetter. From
there it should be ready for the printer, and it might be out by April.

Interesting observations, Stew. The discussion of peak value vs. career value raises the Kirby Puckett issue, which I had recently been thinking about anyway....
