Re: [baseball-databank] QUESTION: 2004 data

Give me a bridge of BDB-ProYakyu IDs for all the players on this page:

http://www.japanesebaseball.com/players/index.jsp?Year=2004

and I'll have pitching and batting for you the day after the season
ends. I don't know of a source for fielding that isn't published (in
paper form) until December.

Note 1: I need to add a number of players who signed late. I've got
the list on paper and will try to get that done this weekend.

Note 2: Creating the BDB-ProYakyu bridge may take a while since there
is a good mix of players who have played on both sides of the Pacific.
That's not on my list of things to do until after completing the new BDB
master DB.

I failed you last off season in getting my data properly incorporated.
I won't let you down this off season and will rely on BDB IDs starting
next season (eliminating the need for a bridge).

Please ignore the above if I'm not the Michael you're referring to.

Zach, The hardest/longest part is to match the various IDs to the BDB ID. That's where the bulk of the work comes from. So, if your source is MLB (through ...
