Re: Why No Real Barefoot Discussion happening here??

>>Why hasnt there been any activity on this group ? Sure is an interesting puzzle . Has everyone moved somewhere else   or what?  <<

I'm also puzzled about that but I suppose, like me, everybody is too busy!

As far as horsey feet go, I'm now up to keeping 5 in check and as life in general is just too hectic for words, it leaves me very little time for cyber life unfortunately...

>>I have so much to ask and get feedback about .  <<

If you do ask, hopefully somebody with better knowledge and more time than me might be able to answer you! :-)

>> Has anyone on this group taken any of Gwens online courses --sure would like to hear about how it went.<<

I've taken several of Gwen's courses over the net and have enjoyed them tremendously as well as learned a lot from them. Re the trimming side of things, it gave me information in depth about how the hoof functions and why, theoretical and practical stuff which wasn't available to me anywhere else.

Armed with that, it gave me much more confidence in taking on my lads' feet and being able to understand why the way hooves are normally trimmed is not a good idea.

Gwen is also so helpful and has saved me from being a nervous wreck many times so far over things which have happened. She knows so much and is able to put it across so well. She's really given support and knowledge when most needed.

I also very much agree with Gwen about the importance of seeing the WHOLE horse, not just looking at feet, or (mis)behaviour or whatever. That is overlooked a lot both by horse owners as well as many clinicians.

So as far as I'm concerned, Gwen's courses provide knowledge in a way which is very helpful to a real and committed life with horses. You learn to listen off and with the horse and to use facts not easily available anywhere else to make your times together the best.

Gwen's courses are wonderful IMO!
