This is a very good idea for a group and timely for me as I have my first
appointment with a barefoot trimmer tomorrow morning:) She will be seeing
Fancy, my 5 yo OTTB mare. We have been through the whole 9 yards with Fancy's
feet - losing shoes constantly, abscesses and bruises, feet too flat and soles
too thin. The lady coming on Tuesday will pull her 3 remaining shoes, explain
the whole thing to me and what I can expect and check my Old Macs for size and
show me the proper way to put them on. We are hoping that Fancy can use the Old
Macs for riding until we get her feet healthy.

I was fortunate to be given a list of barefoot trimmers in my area by a
subscriber to RetrainTBs and a state-by-state list of trimmers would be a great
idea.

I'll post again after tomorrow and let everyone know how it went.
