I am not Amanda but I have been a member here for a very long time ( Hard to believe it will 8 years in October) and I think I can answer that one.
No, there are not a bunch of strict rules although I must warn you that discussions can get heated at times. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the discussions like the rest of us do. You never know who will pop in. There are several skaters who are members here and post frequently.
