A recent poster has quit this board. When I asked the poster why, the
poster said, loosely paraphrased, the poster was tired of reading
posts that disagreed with the poster's point of view. When I tried to
respond ("Sorry you left, hope you reconsider"), my response bounced
back, so I guess I've been placed on Ignore.

Traffic has slowed noticeably on this Board, but that's OK; it's
recovered before. If it doesn't, that's OK, too. This job was thrust
upon me many years ago, and I've maintained the Board the way you
would expect a journalist with no close connections to skaters would--
all viewpoints are welcome. I belong to other sports and political
boards in which flame wars are constant, and often get very personal,
but I think they're the better for it because members are exposed to
all manner of opinions.

In short, this is not the place to come if you're offended by the
opinions of people who disagree with you. If, instead of quitting,
you would post a contrary opinion, I'd be delighted.
