Thanks to Greg for cooking meat for the 62 hungry mouths (plus another
10 or so kids) at Montana de Oro this weekend. Based on the number of
people at the campsite, I have had to rethink this whole Rock to Pier
thing. I used to think that there were so many from Bakersfield in
the race because it is a great excuse to get out of the heat for a day
or two. Now (based partly on the fact that there were many at the
cookout who didn't run) I think everybody goes over for food. The run
is just for outward appearances.
