As some have reminded me I forgot to mention our annual trip to the Rock to Pier run at Morro Bay and our camp out at Montana de Oro. This year it will be July 15 weekend and we have about the same number of camp sites, so we can accommodate about 50 people. If you have never gone please talk to someone that has, we have a great time and some good food. This year instead of tri-tip I will be cooking rib eye, pork loin, chicken and yes I'll have smoked salmon too. Same as last year, please everyone bring a dish to add to the dinner. The boy's are going to cook breakfast Sunday morning again this year. So the only thing you need to bring is something for Friday night and maybe a little snack after the race. We usually have some stuff to munch on during the day so you might want to bring something for that. I will have smoked salmon and crackers for an little something to hold you over till the main course is ready. Bring your favorite beverage and maybe a little extra to share, remember we have to prime the singer (Craig) for the around the camp fire sing-a-long.
This is a very inexpensive weekend, by the time we split everything up it will add up to about $15 to $20 bucks a head for everything. Kids and dogs are always welcome, and when we count head to split the bill kids and dogs are not counted.
Please send me an email with the heading of Rock to Pier trip and let me know how many and if you camping or just coming for dinner. Those that are pansies and think that motel 6 is the only way to camp, your welcome for dinner also. Like I said, we have room for about 50 to camp and for dinner your all welcome, but I need to know so I'll have enough rib eye. Remember it's first come first serve.
See you on the trails.....Greg
