I was reading the December 2009 issue of MAIA's MA Success Magazine. In Karen Eden's column she mentions that the latest "on-average" statistics for memberships are as follows:
- For every 10,000 students that sign up, half will drop out in the first month.
- Of the remaining 5000, half will drop out after the second month.
- 1000 students will complete 6 months before quitting.
- 500 students will train for a year.
- 100 students will make their second year of training.
- 3 students will make it to black belt.
- Only 1 in 10,000 will make it to master level.
so for those who stay you are in the minority
