Funny that is what I have been teaching and saying for years, I teach several
ways to round kick and to side kick.
and to front kick and to hook kick etc
I do want them to learn and ingrain the standard thrust with hip rotation for
all the basic kicks and then they can evolve from there. With that as a
foundation you can learn them all, and understand the usages as another piece
of the whole.
