Hi Hank.
I agree with Douglas. The aluminium swords are comfortable and reasonably durable. They do make a distinctive clanging sound as compared to steel, and you definitely do not want to use them against steel as they will get chewed up, but they are still good for practice swords.

Ahh but n training one needs the item to be safe a durable. <although the jury is still out on aluminum. Film work they are used frequently for heavy blades. One that makes them lighter for an actor to hold all day, 2 there are 2 swords. one for photo ops and showing. the second is switched in during the fight. usually an alloy blade. regards Douglas B Bailey
