Description

Baileys Academy is a traditional school consisting of Shito Ryu Karate and Kobudo. We are located in Oregon City, Oregon.

Our Head Instructor is Douglas Buchanan Bailey, WE teach a class in broadsword and karate

Our class teaches Shito-Ryu Karate & 18th Century Scottish Highland Broadsword .
Our Shito-Ryu Karate has an emphasis on learning effective striking & blocking skills, as well as movement, timing & overall physical fitness. Our Highland Broadsword work is based on the works of McBane (1799), Hope (1720), and Page (18th century). We also teach bo/quarterstaff, sai, boat oar, tonfa, jo/walking stick, and other weapon techniques to advanced students.

We meet Mondays and Tuesdays at the Oregon City United Methodist Church, 18955 S. South End Road, Oregon City, OR 97045. For those outside Oregon, Oregon City is in the southeastern section of the greater Portland metropolitan area.

Mr. Bailey can be contacted by e-mail at ldbb@baileysacademy.com
