Our Head Instructor is H.S.H. Douglas Buchanan Bailey, Bailey’s Academy whose mission through martial arts values each individual and provides the opportunity for all individuals :
, focusing on expanding possibilities through the art fencing and Karate.
Sensei Bailey has worked with disabled children with a broad spectrum of disorders including Autism, for over 17 years within the school systems of Oregon.



Our class teaches karate self defense
& 18th Century Scottish Highland Broadsword

Our Karate has an emphasis on learning effective striking & blocking skills, as well as movement, timing & Our Highland Broadsword work is based on the works of McBane (1799), Hope (1720), and Page (18th century). We also teach bo/quarterstaff, sai,boat oar, tonfa, jo/walking stick,and other weapon techniques to advanced students.
