Tomorrow--Wednesday, May 31--is the last day to register for the 7-hour
or 16-hour races in this Saturday's second annual San Francisco Night &
Day Challenge (www.nightanddaychallenge.com).
Night & Day Challenge is an urban rogaine. Sixty point-valued
checkpoints are placed throughout San Francisco. Visit as many as you
can, in any order. Duathlon format is first half foot, second half
bike. Start, transition, and finish at Douglass Playground in Noe
Valley. Single discipline (foot-only, bike-only) options available. A
4pm start lets you experience the city through afternoon, dusk, night,
dawn, and the quiet of early Sunday morning. We expect the winning
duathlon team to visit all checkpoints in 16 hours.
Nearly 50 teams are registered so far; check them out at
www.nightanddaychallenge.com/sf-teams.asp. Day-of-event registration is
available for the 3-hour race only. ALL OTHERS MUST REGISTER BY
TOMORROW MIDNIGHT.
Night & Day Challenge is a co-production of the Bay Area Orienteering
Club and Meridian Geographics. Meridian Geographics is a Seattle-based
business providing navigation teaching, coaching, and events. Meridian
Geographics is also the primary sponsor of top Pacific Northwest
adventure race team MerGeo.com.
We guarantee you'll see the city like you've never seen it before.
