Shooting Star Adventures is pleased and excited to announce their racing
calendar for 2005.

In addition to the Silicon Valley Series, Shooting Star Adventures will be
offering 2 winter snowshoeing orienteering events, 2 sprint style adventure
races in Silicon Valley and 2 longer format adventure races in San Luis
Obispo and South Lake Tahoe.

The winter snowshoeing events will include snowshoes and an opportunity to
enjoy the winter weather with a break from the usual training routine. Both
events will take place at very scenic spots in South Lake Tahoe and feature a
post event BBQ with cheesecake and Hot tub. Dates: January 29, 2005 and
March 5, 2005.

The Silicon Valley Series will include 5 races, special series finisher awards,
racer referral prizes and Orange level orienteering courses setup by BAOC.
Dates: March 19, April 16, May 14, June 25, and the Final on August 27
(night-time event).

The Shooting Star Sprints will feature marked courses and all out speed for 3-
5 hours. Dates: April 30 and July 16, 2005.

And finally the Shooting Star Adventure Race will feature 14-20 hours of
racing with a mix of biking, trekking, paddling, ropes, swimming,
snowshoeing, and some very special obstacles of the physical and mental
variety. Dates: June 4, 2005 South Lake Tahoe, October 1, 2005 San Luis
Obispo.

As always Shooting Star Adventures will provide great swag, great prizes,
post race BBQ and cheesecake.
