Great Specialized Stumpj. M4 Comp w/Brain -- $950 !!   Message List

That's right adventure athletes around the globe, this
is A SUPER SWEET DEAL. I've had to come down in price
for this killer bike.

THE FRAME SIZE IS LARGE. The price -- $950 -- is
small. :)

Here's all ya need to know (at least about the bike):

This is an amazing XC machine with the ability and
build to go downhilling! It was built up with killer
Fox fork and downhill stem. Yet it weighs about 27
lbs! FRAME SIZE: LARGE. (I said that already) And,
yes, it has the wonderful Specialized BRAIN rear
suspension. The Brain has been awesome. It truly does
what it is intended -- soak up big hits and stay
locked out while climbing and hammering.

This was over $2400 new. Gotta part with it to pay
bills. It has done well in many adventure races and is
great fun on Mt. Tam! Can't say enough about it's
ability to ride, climb, and eat dirt.

Things that are pretty NEW (about 150 miles):
Rear wheel: Mavic 517.
Headset: Ritchey Scuzzy Logic comp
Chain: Shimano
Also rear derailleur cable replaced.

Other specs:
Front wheel: Mavic 227
Rear/Front hubs: Deore LX/Specialized
Brakes: Avid Single Digit 5
Brake levers: Avid.
Fork: Fox Fork F80RLT
Bars: Specialized XC 6066.
Crank: Specialized StrongArm 7050
Rear Derailleur: XTR
Front derailleur: Deore LX
Shifters: Deore LX
Saddle: Sella Italia Gel Max Flite (sweet seat!)
2 water bottle cages
The current tires are both 26x2.0 -- front is
Hutchinson Python, rear is Ritchey Speedmax semi-slick
(for racing).

The frame has some cosmetic blemishes, I won't lie.
Many have come at the expense of a rear mounted car
rack (banging on rutted roads), while others have come
from riding (go figure). Other than that, it's a very
cool metal color (no paint). The bike handles anything
you throw at it. I weigh 185 and usually ride with a
pack, so anyone up to 200 and certainly below is free
to stomp til you drop.

The bike does NOT come with the Crank Bros pedals
shown in the pics, but I do have a few extras if you'd
like (at NO extra cost):

Specialized Team Control tires: 26x2.0 front/26x1.9
rear -- used one ride. Great traction. Armadillo
technology. These are bullet proof tires.

Ritchey SPD pedals -- pretty used but still work well.

Selle Royal -- Channeled cushion gel seat.

THE PRICE IS $950 ! The only other way to get this
for that price is to steal it.

Please call or email with any questions. Thanks.
