Tom Ivers Passes

Tom Ivers, equine scientist and author of several horse racing books including
The Fit Racehorse, passed away on Sunday after a battle with lymphoma.
Ivers, 61, published nine books as well as newsletters, articles, advertising
copy, scientific research, computer software documentation, and instructional
videos on equine sports medicine. Ivers was one of the first to incorporate
interval training into the training of equine athletes and was founder and
president of Equine Racing Systems, Inc., an equine sales and consulting company
based in Washougal, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, Ivers' wife, Edie, has requested that donations be made in
her husband's honour to the Lymphoma Research Foundation:

Subject: Tom Ivers
I was sorry to learn of the passing of Tom Ivers. While he sure knew
how to get folks stirred up, he usually had some evidence to back up
his views, and and you always knew where you stood with him.
I have followed his advice on a few occasions, usually with good
results, and purchased several products over the years, also with
good results for the most part.
I hope Edie can carry on and provide the products that Tom developed.
