Re: [azhorseracing] New to AZ horse racing
If you want a trainer who is honest, doesn't believe in using lots of
drugs, who won't run sore or unsound horses, who believes in good
conditioning and a good feed program, who puts the horse first, and
welcomes hands on owners,
I wish there were more of those around. The woman I worked for at Tup many
moons ago was more concerned over money and alcohol. She was from Tucson. Being
a woman in the horse racing field was hard because the guys thought we
should just be grooms. Rillito wasn't much better the trainer I worked for
there
couldn't pay his bills or employees because he snorted his day pay.
I would have stayed with horse racing if I could have had a trainer worthy
of my services. LOL
I had a nice race bred filly that I wanted to train for the track, but
finding a trainer to put her name under was hard. I wanted to get my license,
but
it seems too difficult to get.
