Additional info -
1) There is one doctor listed from the Tucson area on the website for the
certifying body (Paula Medler) - although her office is called "Companion Animal
Clinic" - I'm not sure if horses will fall in that category for her.
There are a lot of people who take a two day seminar and call themselves equine
chiropractors. The AVCA doctors (who can be human chiropractors who then take
this training) have to take 200 hours of post-graduate work, certification
exams, and have 30 hours of continuing education every three years.
2) Dr. Reynolds is not listed under Arizona, but she is listed under Maine (in
the past she has worked at Scarborough Downs in the summer before wintering
here).
3) The website mentioned a Dr. Pfafman in Glendale. Lori, it says he worked at
Lookout Mountain from 1995-1997 - do you remember him? Was he good or didn't
you ever wind up seeing him?

If there is some way to work it out that they can be brought up for a
treatment to TuP - I'd heartily recommend Dr. Reynolds, if she is still around.
She treated Alice twice, and Alice DID win both of the first races she had after
treatment. We had no such correlation with "Bobby the Two-Mallet Boy" - the
other chiropractor Sarina used. (He was a human chiropractor - some sports team
- who studied the equine stuff. Reynolds is a DVM who studied chiropractic.)
AND we used Dr. Reynolds for Ginger (our lab) after she fell getting into our
van and wouldn't jump up on anything anymore for a few weeks. Two days after
treatment, she was good as new.
Also you may want to try contacting the American Veterinary Chiropractic
Association - www.animalchiropractic.org for a referral.
P.S. Lori - even if it doesn't work out for the horses - you may want to find
out if you can give her a shot with Max. She uses chiropractic and both laser
and needle acupuncture depending on the situation. Dr. Schure thought it was
great that we had brought Ginger to her.

Does anyone know of any equine chiropractors in the Tucson area?
Preferably a good one ;-).
HMM, I know there are some, but I have given up on finding one. I am
teaching my self how to do my own chiropractic work.
