Guys,

I've been in New York with limited email access. Sorry for the delayed response. I expect to be mocked for this, but it looks like I'm out for the game seeing as I'm going to have to work Saturday. If something changes, I'll let you know and be ready to mop the floor with the Chelksi pretenders.

I'll be there, with partial family, but I'm afraid I'll have to be part of the

owing to the fact that I'm an out-of-shape old man who's never played real

Did you confim me? If we need some females I might convince my daughter and one
or
two of her team mates...they have potential college careers ahead of them so
everyone
would have to not be too overzealous (like SOME people were when we played in
Westlake)
because they're only 14. Just a thought.

Okay - for this occasion - we're going without the keg. There is still
$5 per head playing fee. We're bringing as many supplies as possible -
utensils, BBQ gear etc., but please bring your own food and drinks and
anything else you'd like to add to the party. Brings friends, family,
the press, neighbors and passing strangers to watch. I'm going to see
if I can get Fado's to do some short notice publicity for us. We only
have 5 confirmed players so far and they have 15, so we need some
recruiting - fast! Bring all of your scarves and flags too! We want
as much red and white as we can find.

Maybe it is, but I can't help it.

13 games left to play (not in order):

Arsenal home (6): Aston Villa, Blackburn, Everton, Liverpool, Middlesbrough,
Reading
Arsenal away (7): Birmingham, Bolton, Chelsea, Derby, Manure, Sunderland, Wigan

Chelsea home (7): Arsenal, Bolton, Derby, Liverpool, Manure, Middlesbrough,
Wigan
Chelsea away (6): Everton, Manchester City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Tottenham,
West Ham

Manure home (6): Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bolton, Liverpool, Manchester City, West
Ham
Manure away (7): Blackburn, Chelsea, Derby, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Newcastle,
Wigan

Games against the other Big Four notwithstanding, I think our schedule is a very
nice one. All
the better teams will be coming to our house, whereas Chelsea and Manure have
one or two
tricky away games.

What does everyone here think?

Count me in as well, I can play in an attacking midfield type role
as long as my legs will carry me. Unfortunately I can't help kill
the keg because I have to drive to Houston after the festivities. I
can bring some food though.

I think I'm in need of Gooners Anonymous. What a high. What a great victory. And
it was
followed up by Chelsea/Man U/Sp*rs incompetence to boot!

Regarding Adebayor:

I was a bit cold on Adebayor the first half of this season, but his recent form - and particularly his performance yesterday - have sealed it for me. I've now got a man crush. Excellent work. What a great show.

And that strike from Eduardo... dear lord that was something.

What a great follow-up to an early morning of planet-gazing!

This ain’t right, btw. It’s a 12:45 p.m. game — i.e., 6:45 a.m. here in town.

So says the Arsenal site --

<http://www.arsenal.com/fixtures.asp?thisNav=The+Match&Title=Arsenal+First+Team+Fixtures>

-- and the Fadó site --

<http://www.fadoirishpub.com/austin/>

Better get there early, before Ricky and friends fill up the place with City fans. . . .
