I have my doubts about Sharapova and Azarenka because of injuries.
It is claimed that Wimbledon is going to be tough on girls who make a noise when
playing (i.e. those who are trying). This could make Sharapova's first round
match interesting - but only if Viktoriya Kuznetsova isn't intimidated. When
Viktoriya played Shenay Perry on Thursday, Viktoriya made a lot of noise. If
Viktoriya is like that against Sharapova next week in the first round, then the
Wimbledon crowd will get to hear that Sharapova is really fairly quiet in
comparison.
I was most impressed in the qualies to find that a little girl I photographed in
a Grade 5 junior tournament in Latvia in 2004, qualified for Wimbledon on
Thursday - I have photographs of her doing it. It is great how some of them
progress.
As for who I would like to win - well I was very sad when little angel Dinara
lost in Paris a few weeks ago - it would be wonderful if she could win this
time.
