I was a huge Anna Fan until I saw her in person in Charleston.
There is a reason she slipped to number 8 and that reason
will prevent her from ever being #1 and from winning a Slam.
UNLESS SHE MATURES AND CHANGES.
My problem with Anna is that in her interviews you think she's the rock
of Gibraltar.......... in reality, she's worse than that other famous Anna
in
her self confidence. Anyone can be brave when they are winning. How
do you act when you are losing, especially to a nobody as she did in
Charleston.
I'm sure Anna is a nice person, what does that have to do with Tennis.
Maria seems nice too...........not in the tunnel with her game face on she
isn't
Which is the way it should be.
I didn't see Alize on TV. I saw her live in Charleston, however.

I don't really understand why you criticize Anna [Chakvetadze?] What
if she has slipped to No 8. She is a nice person; I like her, and I
like her dad. I still treasure the memory of the match she played
against young Alison ('Ally') Baker at Wimbledon 2003.
Did you see Alize Cornet on TV? The commentators made a fuss about
her crying in the final today - but she got upset in the 3rd round of
Wimbledon Qualies last year (where she lost against Olga in 3 tough
sets). I have never talked to Alize, I got the impression at
Wimbledon qualies that she did not understand English. Last year was
was amazingly tough and determined.
Anyway, this time next week I will be enjoying the 3rd days of qualies
at the Astrid Bowl. Seven years ago I went there for the first time,
and first saw young Miss Harkleroad...
