if she has slipped to No 8. She is a nice person; I like her, and I
like her dad. I still treasure the memory of the match she played
against young Alison ('Ally') Baker at Wimbledon 2003.

Did you see Alize Cornet on TV? The commentators made a fuss about
her crying in the final today - but she got upset in the 3rd round of
Wimbledon Qualies last year (where she lost against Olga in 3 tough
sets). I have never talked to Alize, I got the impression at
Wimbledon qualies that she did not understand English. Last year was
was amazingly tough and determined.

Anyway, this time next week I will be enjoying the 3rd days of qualies
at the Astrid Bowl. Seven years ago I went there for the first time,
and first saw young Miss Harkleroad...
